Our Beliefs
Living as a Christian man in a secular world is a
challenge. And yet, as men of faith, we have a tremendous
opportunity to set a positive example for our family and friends.
Putting God first is the beginning. His Grace and Strength enable us to
be the leader our families need and a friend that shows the way to true
happiness and joy.
The good that comes from living a life committed to
God touches all those around us.
When Jesus returned, he gave his disciples a very
specific set of instructions. You might call them his final marching
orders. These instructions are commonly called the Great Commission. In
Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells them,
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you…”
By honoring this command, we become tremendous agents
of change. It starts here at FSBCA, but it does not end here. Work we
do to help the church enables FSBCA to carry out the Great Commission.
The effects of this service can be felt in our church, our hometowns,
our nation and beyond.
Our Beliefs
We are a group of believers in Jesus Christ who have
joined together to follow and serve him. Our doctrines and beliefs come
directly from the Bible. In his first epistle, Peter told the Church:
Each
one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully
administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he
should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he
should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God
may be praised through Jesus Christ. 1Peter 4: 10-11
